Real Estate Photography and Video Production
Real estate agents are embracing the use of drones to help sell homes and properties, especially useful for "showing" them to potential out-of-town buyers. Agents say the aerial photography technology gives people a better look at properties for sale, giving them a feel for the lay of the land without being there in person. Technology is changing every aspect of our life so it's little wonder it's also changing the way we look at real estate.
FAQ'S / SCHEDULE SHOOT
A TYPICAL REAL ESTATE PROPERTY SHOOT
A UAV camera has the capacity to film from different heights (up to 400’ from ground level) and from different angles surrounding the property (dependent upon obstacles and neighbour’s adjoining properties).
During each property shoot there will be:
1. Static images provided
2. Video footage provided
STATIC IMAGES
The first run of the UAV will be for the taking of static (still) photos from various perspectives and altitudes surrounding the property. The property will be circumnavigated at different heights and distances to allow for the best digital images possible from each perspective (refer to image below).
There will also be a couple of photos taken from directly overhead the property. These will encompass:
a) a tight (plan) view of the property layout at the height required to fit in the building and grounds parameter,
b) a higher altitude plan view of the property and immediate neighbourhood,
c) 360 degree N-S-E-W horizontal images taken from just above the roof-top for a neighbourhood overview as well as the same again from a higher altitude.

VIDEO FOOTAGE
While carrying out the static images as indicated above a flight plan can be determined for flowing aerial videos to be filmed. These may include 360 wrap-arounds, panning shots, zooming shots, tracking shots, track in shots, track in and wrap-arounds, etc. These shots will be dependent upon the property layout, adjoining property and obstacles.
*Note that often times beautiful static images can also be pulled from this video footage during post production.
